Everything in the WT litteratrash is carefully worded. It's in the talks where elders, COs, DOs, and the GB have really put the lies out there. And that's why they don't want "the friends" to record the talks.

does the wt always carefully phrase sentences so as to never take blame?
by sowhatnow inim recalling a time when i sat and circled words in a watchtower article, indicating strongly the fact that it is in fact the writters opinion.. however just the suggestion in the sentence these words are ignored.. for example.
it is our understanding.
we believe this to be the case.

The Faithful Slave - An Obvious Question I Haven't Heard Asked
by berrygerry insince the big 7 have appropriated this "blessed" title for themselves, and disavowed the existence of this slave prior to 1919, an obvious question comes up.. was it not the apostate maria russell that proffered that ctr was "the slave," and was the coiner of the term "the faithful slave"?.
if the slave did not come into existence until 1919, then how was it possible that prior to 1919 that anyone knew that it existed, or would have been able to foretell that it would come into existence?.
was maria a prophetic apostate?.

"If the slave did not come into existence until 1919, then how was it possible that prior to 1919 that anyone knew that it existed, or would have been able to foretell that it would come into existence?"
These were "running ahead" of Hojovah's celestial chariot. Kind of like the millions of Christians that expected armageddon in earlier centuries. How foolish of them to recognize that such Bible prophecies couldn't be fulfilled until after CT Russell used pyramid inches to analyze the Great Pyramid of Giza and establish 1914 as the year of armageddon... later postponed.
"Was Maria a prophetic apostate?"
Unless you have a quote where she talks about gays designing tight pants, she wasn't a prophet.

Jehovah's Witnesses Application for Trolley Preaching Rejected by Village of Glen Ellyn, Illinois
by jwleaks inglen ellyn won't allow jehovah's witnesses brochure rack on sidewalk.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/glen-ellyn/ct-jehovah-witness-brochures-tl-20141209-story.html.
the glen ellyn village board (usa) on monday night voted 4-2 to reject a request by a kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses north of glen ellyn to place a portable brochure rack on a public sidewalk in downtown glen ellyn for evangelistic purposes.. glen ellyn currently bars commercial signage and the placement of any kind of structure whether temporary or permanent on its public sidewalks without village board approval.

"requires submittal of the standard Certificate of Liability Insurance in advance of the placement of the brochure rack"
LOL. They have to buy insurance for the little trolley of despair? Proof of a 19th century religion in a 21st century world. It's like the troll under the bridge that now has to have proof of insurance or the IRS will fine him.

Will the Societies tighten their grip even more with the power slipping?
by thedepressedsoul ini think its pretty clear that the gb are power hungry.
you cannot listen to the branch visit and not see clear as day that there are some of them that are loving the power.
it showed the clearest with anthony morris.. now all these sex abuse scandals and news media are taking their power away.

Merry Pantsmas Everyone!
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inokay, i posted this in a thread that got locked and buried.
since then i've been really busy and have overdosed on christmas music in the past week.
so, i'm resurrecting this "holy day" holiday that most people will unknowingly be celebrating tomorrow.

Heaven, I'm pretty sure that elves are pagan, so elf tights must be pagan. This comes full circle, as ballet is pagan and ballet tights would be unacceptable attire in the viewpoint of TOMO3.
Everyone wears the tightest of tights in the Pantsmas classic ballet "The Nutcracking Pants"

I'm Shocked The Jehovah's Witnesses Even Allow Their Kids To Go To Mainstream Schools.
by Jehovanomics injudging by the material that my kid brings home on a daily basis in copius amounts.
everything about everything in elementary school goes against the doctrines of the jehovah's witnesses.
how do jw's expect to make any money if all of their kids are defecting the jw's?

In bethel, I worked with a sister that attended a "school" organized by JWs for JW kids. She said it was a disaster that lasted only a couple of years or so, because everyone in the congregation argued about what should be taught.
This became yet another point of cognative dissonance for me. How could this be "the truth" and an organization prepared to run the world... when they couldn't even organize a classroom for children?
